Ms. Ana, OTD, OTR/L
Doctor of Occupational Therapy
Licensed Occupational Therapist
Elmhurst Location
Ms. Ana's passion for pediatric occupational therapy was sparked by her upbringing in a family dedicated to healthcare and her experience as a behavioral technician, where she developed a personal connection to working with children!
What Ana loves most about being an occupational therapist is creating client-centered treatments that inspire and motivate her clients to reach their fullest potential. Building meaningful relationships with both clients and their families is at the core of what she does. "There is truly no greater reward than witnessing my clients overcome obstacles, no matter how big or small. Every success, whether a milestone or a breakthrough, is a reminder of why I do this work."
Ms. Ana holds a certification in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Level A and is bilingual in Spanish, which enables her to connect with and support a diverse range of families.
She expands her knowledge and skill set through continuing education courses, focusing on topics such as the integration of primitive reflexes, sensory processing and integration, neurorehabilitation, and Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI).
Ana earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts & Sciences degree, majoring in Communications with a minor in Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago. She completed her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University, where she was awarded a scholarship to pursue additional coursework in mental health.
Outside of work, Ana enjoys reading, doing hot yoga, working out, and spending time with her dog, family, and friends.
Ana’s favorite quote is “What if it doesn’t work out? Ah, but what if it does.” -Peter McWilliams
