Brenna Schillinger, MS., CCC--SLP
Licensed and Certified Speech/Language Pathologist
Brenna has passion for helping children achieve their goals and enhancing their ability to communicate with others! She strives to make therapy a fun experience as well as a creating a nurturing environment to grow. Brenna strongly believes in a team approach and enjoys collaborating with Hummingbird colleagues, families and other professionals. Throughout her clinical placements, she worked in a variety of settings, including an early childhood special education program, private practices, elementary school, and rehabilitation hospital. Brenna has a strong background evaluating and treating early childhood kiddos, school-aged children, and adolescents for articulation/speech sounds, receptive and expressive language, social skills, executive functioning, voice, and fluency disorders. Brenna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Elmhurst College. She loves reading, scoping out new restaurants/coffee shops, traveling, and watching Netflix.
Brenna has completed the following continuing education courses/trainings: Challenges and Solutions for Infant and Children with Complex Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Program for the Educated and Enrichment of Relational Skills Social Skills Training (PEERS-Certified Educator), Words for Life-Augmentative and Alternative (AAC) Communication Training.
