Laura is a fun-loving, passionate member of our therapy team and counseling manager who infuses creativity into learning seamlessly. Through more than 15 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist, Laura can quickly identify the best way to help little ones comfortably express their feelings while having fun.
Laura received her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University and her Master of Arts in Counseling and Art Therapy degree from Adler University. Laura is also a certified grief support specialist.
Laura has taken numerous continuing education courses in trauma, sensory intervention and autism.
In her free time, Laura loves spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. She also enjoys finding creative projects to take on, being outside, learning about the weather and reading.
Her favorite quote is “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the rain.”
