Life Skills Program
The Life Skills program is a therapeutic group for ages 11-18 years old, targeting Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). IADLs are considered more complex than basic activities of daily living (ADLs) and include, but are not limited to
The program is designed to follow the developmental progression of skills, as well as incorporate compensatory (or adapted) strategies when needed to further support skill attainment.
The group format will also provide opportunities for social interaction, as well as target pre-vocational skills.
This is now offered at our Elmhurst location.
- Meal preparation
- Money management
- Home maintenance (cleaning and laundry).
