Marisa is a pediatric physical therapist who brings creativity and energy to each one of her sessions. She is dedicated to applying her unique experiences in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team, to provide quality care to her patients and families. Marisa’s passion for pediatrics has stemmed from personal experience with her brother, David, who has received therapy services since he was a baby. Her fun and dynamic approach to physical therapy creates an engaging experience for all her kids!
Marisa received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marquette University in 2017. Her pediatric clinical experience included Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. While learning under the hospital’s best pediatric therapists, she has cultivated numerous skills regarding the treatment of the neurologically involved child, young babies with torticollis, oncology patients and general delays in gross motor milestones. Marisa has taken continuing education classes in vision development and NDT (neurodevelopmental treatment) and she is certified in Interactive Metronome.
While not at work, Marisa’s interests include drawing and painting, reading and eating hotdogs at Wrigley Field!
