Ms. Megan S, MA., CCC - SLP
Licensed and Certified Speech/Language Pathologist
Woodridge Location
Megan’s passion for speech & language pathology began as a teenager when she babysat for a family with a child who had special needs. She often took him to his speech therapy sessions, and that experience opened her eyes to the powerful impact speech therapy can have on a child’s life. Since she’s always loved working with children, pursuing a career in speech therapy felt like a perfect fit!
One of the most rewarding parts of her job is watching kids make progress and reach their goals! Megan takes pride in building strong relationships with both the children and their families. The more comfortable and confident a child is, the faster progress will be made! Megan loves seeing the joy on parents’ faces when their kids can now say “I love you” or “Mama” for the first time!
Megan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology and Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Calvin University.
Megan expands her expertise through continuing education courses in Natural Language Acquisition and Gestalt Language Processing. She also has taken the PROMPT introduction course.
Outside of work, she loves reading, going for walks, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
Her favorite quote is “Nothing changes if nothing changes.”
