Miss Megan, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worke

Megan is a Lead Counselor in Hummingbird Academy and joined Hummingbird with seven and a half years experience in a therapeutic school working with children ages kindergarten-high school. Her approach to treatment is a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and play based therapy. She is a firm believer that children learn best when they don’t realize they are doing work. Megan thrives on listening to her families and helping offer new perspectives.

Megan has completed the following continuing education courses/trainings:
-Trauma Informed Care
-Behavior Management in the Classroom Setting

Megan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University.

Outside of work Megan enjoys cooking, playing with dogs, attending concerts, and working out.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
