Alyssa chose pediatric occupational therapy because of her passion for helping children reach their goals and becoming more independent in their daily lives! She enjoys building strong, positive relationships with the children and their families, creating an environment where learning and growth are both fun and meaningful. Alyssa believes that when you're having fun while learning and growing, it makes all the hard work feel a little more rewarding!
The most fulfilling part of her job is witnessing the small victories- whether it’s a child mastering a new skill, building self confidence, or simply having fun. Every step of progress is a moment worth celebrating!
Ms. Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Brain and Behavioral Science and Minor in Sociology from Purdue University. She earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Degree from Midwestern University.
Ms. Alyssa is certified in Therapeutic Listening and is expanding her expertise through continuing education courses, such as Improving Visual and Fine Motor Skills Using Neuroplasticity, Engaging All Sensory Systems, and more.
When Alyssa is away from work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing yoga, and reading.
