Amy decided to be a Speech Language Pathologist after being in Best Buddies throughout middle school, high school, and college. She really enjoyed the activities and people she interacted with. She loves working with each child and family to make positive, meaningful growth to their speech and language skills.
Amy received her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Spanish, Graduate from Elmhurst University and her Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with Multicultural and Multilingual Emphasis from Elmhurst University.
Some of her certifications and continuing education courses include Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), CPR Certified, Professional Educator License in Speech Language Pathology with Bilingual Endorsement, pediatric and infant feeding and more, childhood Apraxia of speech and much more.
Amy especially loves working with AAC! She has helped families with iPads turned dedicated communication devices, collaborated with school districts to advocate for AAC and collaborated with AAC Device companies such as RM Speech, PRC Saltillo and TobiDynavox. She is also bilingual with English and Spanish.
When Amy is away from work, she enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and painting her nails.
