Going through her own medical journey since childhood, Kayla knew from a young age that she wanted to work with children. Her goal has always been to help them feel safe, heard, valued, and cared for the way her healthcare team made her feel.
As an Occupational Therapist, Kayla loves to put the “fun” in functional! She loves the creativeness and diversity of both the job and the children she gets the joy of working with.
Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology with a co-major in Neuroscience from Miami University (Miami of Ohio) as well as a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from University of Indianapolis.
She earned her credentials as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and is in the process of receiving her credentials to be a brain injury specialist.
In her spare time, Kayla loves to be outdoors hiking or biking, play games with family and friends, seeing live music, making pottery, and trying new food and coffee spots!
Her favorite quote is: "As you grow older, you will discover you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others." - Audrey Hepburn
