Ms. Swati, LCPC
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Elmhurst Location
Swati is a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping children reach their social and emotional goals. She views therapy as a collaborative journey, where the focus is not on “fixing” the problem, but on partnering with the child and family to gather information and develop skills that help each child navigate the world.
Swati’s favorite part of being a pediatric counselor is using a play-based approach and finding different ways to use a client’s strengths to meet their individual needs.
She expands her knowledge through continuing education courses on topics such as ADHD and anxiety.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Master’s in Counseling from Northwestern University.
When Swati is away from work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, gardening, and crocheting.
Her favorite quote is “Asking for help isn’t giving up, it’s refusing to give up.” -Charlie Mackesy
