Valerie fell in love with Occupational Therapy because of what it can stand for: helping people to live more independent lives. She enjoys connecting with parents and helping families navigate a child’s individual needs.
Valerie holds a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from St. Ambrose University. She attended Eastern Illinois University prior to that where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Valerie holds certifications from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider (CPR & AED) and CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
Valerie has also taken continuing education courses regarding Interactive Metronome, core connections, conscious discipline, and vision techniques for eye movement disorders.
In her spare time, Valerie enjoys spending time and taking walks with her dog Revy, a German Shepherd mix.
