What is Serial Casting?
  • A non-invasive procedure that helps children and adults improve their joint mobility
  • The procedure is the application of a SOFT cast with padding to hold a part of the body in a position that will stretch a tight muscle
  • Cast is applied weekly and will stay on for 5-10 days (depending on the child's tolerance)
  • Cast is removable and can be re-applied with the help of Co-bands
  • Sequential casts are done for 3-8 weeks to progressively stretch the joint and increase range of motion
