Tara Lehmann, MS, OTR/L
Licensed Occupational Therapist
Tara's approach to therapy is helping kids grow and learn through their main "occupation" of play. Her creative, adaptable, kind and fun-loving personality is evident in all she does. Tara believes it is important to look at the whole child (gross motor, fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing and social - emotional skills). She is a huge proponent of collaborating with other therapists as well as with parents to ensure intervention is meeting the specific needs of each child. Tara enjoys working with little ones because it is a critical time to enhance their overall development with new stimulations and novel experiences. It is an opportunity to improve their sensory processing, fine motor, and overall play skills to further minimize possible developmental delays. It is also a time to support and build relationships with caregivers - providing them with activities they can do throughout the day with their child in order to enhance skills and enable new learning.
Tara received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Valparasio University and her Master's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Sacred Heart University. She is certified in Handwriting Without Tears.
