Kaitlyn, a pediatric speech language pathologist and feeding therapist, enjoys collaborating with other disciplines to provide carryover and generalization of her patient’s skills. She is flexible in her treatment approach and adjusts her therapy plans as needed always keeping parents informed and obtaining their feedback in their child’s therapy goals and progress.
Kaitlyn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from St. Ambrose University and continued on at St. Ambrose University earning her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Kaitlyn comes to Hummingbird with experience working with children with speech, language and feeding delays. She has treated a wide variety of patients including patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Apraxia of Speech, Fluency Disorders, and Down Syndrome. She has further training and experience in feeding disorders particularly in working in the NICU and also with sensory based feeding delays.
She is an advocate for children who benefit from an augmentative communication device, completing evaluations and writing proposals to insurance companies in order to obtain funding for a device.
