Hummingbird Social Groups

Hummingbird is thrilled to announce our Fall social groups for children ages 2-6 as well as a parent support group! These 6-week, one hour long classes are led by licensed and certified counselors and social workers at our Westmont and Woodridge locations. Movin’ and Groovin’
Ages: 2-3 years
Location: Westmont
Dates: 9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10
Time: 9am-10am
Cost: $495 (may be covered by insurance)

This group focuses on social-emotional development by incorporating music, dancing, yoga and play.  Your toddler, along with friends, will practice emotional self-regulation, problem solving skills, play skills, developing friendships and social interactions all while having fun!

Parent Support Group
Ages: Parents, Grandparents, Caretakers

Dates: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12
Time: 9am-10am
Cost: $495 (may be covered by insurance)

Being a parent is tough, especially when it comes to navigating a child’s challenging behaviors. Join us and fellow parents for a cup of coffee as we discuss tools to meet our kids where they are while promoting positive behavior and social-emotional development, self-esteem, establishing routines, setting boundaries, giving effective directions, and so much more. We’ll map out individualized behavior plans for your kiddo while also identifying ways to take care of yourself in the midst of your busy everyday life.

Creativity from the HeART​
Ages: 4-6 years
Location: Woodridge
Dates: 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11
Times Offered: 9am-10am or 1pm-2pm

Due to popular demand, Hummingbird is thrilled to offer this creative and unique social group that focuses on Art Therapy. Your child will learn to express their feelings, practice positive social behavior, develop problem-solving skills and grow their creativity through the wonder of art!
