Having a little brother who was diagnosed with autism at a young age, Sonia has seen how valuable therapeutic services are in fostering healthy development for children with special needs. As a pediatric counselor, Sonia loves being part of a team that brings attention and care to children who need it most.
She received her Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Sonia also earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University with a Specialization in Child and Adolescent Treatment.
Sonia has taken numerous trainings including in domestic violence advocacy and sexual assault crisis intervention.
When Sonia is away from work, she enjoys running, dancing, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
